MyHealthPEI FAQ's - Immunization Records

MyHealthPEI shows vaccination information that are digitally recorded in PEI’s Immunization Registry. The PEI Immunization Registry was created in 2016 to keep a digital record of vaccines administered in different health care settings across the province.

What immunizations can I see in MyHealthPEI?

You can see information of vaccines you received in the province that have been digitally recorded in PEI’s Immunization Registry. This includes vaccines you received from public health nursing, community pharmacists, primary care providers, as well as vaccines received while in hospital, long-term care or at a post-secondary institution in PEI.

Information about childhood vaccinations is also included in the PEI Immunization Registry and available in MyHealthPEI for PEI residents born in 1998 and later who received vaccinations from public health nursing.

How long does it take for my immunization information to be updated in MyHealthPEI after I get a vaccine?

MyHealthPEI displays updated immunization information as soon as vaccine information is entered into PEI’s Immunization Registry. There may be a delay in when this information is available to you depending on the health care setting where you received the vaccine and the time it takes for the information to be entered into the registry.

For example, vaccines administered by public health nursing will be recorded in the PEI Immunization Registry immediately and available to you the same day, whereas vaccines received in a primary care provider’s office may take longer to be entered into the registry.

Some of my immunizations listed in MyHealthPEI are incorrect or missing. Can I have them corrected or added?

If you find incorrect information displayed in your immunization records, please contact our eHealth Support Desk at 1-800-372-3588 and select option 2 or email myhealthpeisupport@gov.pe.ca.

Why is it showing duplicate Immunization Records?

When immunizations are given at certain pharmacies, it creates two records - one when the vaccine is dispensed and one when the vaccine is administered. It is possible that these two records may be a day or two apart.

As of March 2025, you can see whether a record is a "Pharmacy Dispense" or a "Pharmacy Immunization" under the Status Reason field. The “Pharmacy Dispense” status reason refers to action of the pharmacist "dispensing" the immunization for use. The “Pharmacy Immunization” status reason refers to the action of administering the immunization to the patient. These may appear as two separate lines in your record. These are not duplicates but rather two legitimate actions for the same immunization.

If you are seeing duplicate vaccine records and they are not showing as "Pharmacy Dispense" and "Pharmacy Immunization" for the same immunization, please contact eHealth Support desk.
