MyHealthPEI FAQ's - Immunization Records

MyHealthPEI shows vaccination information that are digitally recorded in PEI’s Immunization Registry. The PEI Immunization Registry was created in 2016 to keep a digital record of vaccines administered in different health care settings across the province.

What immunizations can I see in MyHealthPEI?

You can see vaccines recorded in PEI’s Immunization Registry, including those from public health nursing, pharmacists, primary care providers, hospitals, long-term care, and post-secondary institutions. Childhood vaccinations are available for PEI residents born in 1998 or later who were vaccinated by public health nursing.

How long does it take for my immunization information to be updated?

Updates appear in MyHealthPEI once the vaccine is recorded in PEI’s Immunization Registry. Timing depends on the setting. Vaccines from public health nursing are recorded the same day; others, like from a doctor’s office, may take longer.

Some of my immunizations are incorrect or missing. Can I get them corrected?

Yes. Contact the eHealth Support Desk at 1-833-734-1873 (option 4) to report any issues with your immunization records.

Why is it showing duplicate Immunization Records?

Some pharmacies create two records—one for dispensing and one for administering a vaccine. These may appear a day or two apart. As of March 2025, each record includes a "Status Reason" indicating whether it's a "pharmacy dispense" or "pharmacy immunization." Contact the eHealth Support Desk if the duplicates don’t fall into this category.

Can I see my child’s immunization information in MyHealthPEI?

No. Currently, MyHealthPEI does not support access to children’s or dependents’ records. You can request a copy from your local Public Health Nursing office if the vaccine was administered by them. For other records, contact the relevant care provider.

How old do I have to be to access my immunization information?

You must be at least 16 years old. For those under 16, contact Public Health Nursing for a copy of your immunization record or contact your health care provider.

How can I find out if my vaccinations are up to date?

Visit the Adult Immunization and Childhood Immunization pages for recommended vaccines. You can also call your local Public Health Nursing office and speak to a nurse for guidance.

How can I access my COVID-19 Proof of Vaccine Certificate?

If you received a COVID-19 vaccine using your PEI Health Card, or added an out-of-province vaccine to your PEI Immunization Record, you can download your certificate from the COVID-19 Proof of Vaccination page or through your MyPEI Account profile.
